      Alright, alright! Scratched it this morning...

      £250 WINNER! 🤬🤬🤬

      I've never been so happy and absolutely livid at the same time. Two hundred and fifty bloody pounds just gone because I'm a slob who loses things down the sofa. My wife is never going to let me live this down.

        @james_uk OUCH! That's genuinely painful. £250 would have been a nice little windfall. Time to implement a strict 'scratch immediately' policy I think!

          This is exactly why I stick to online casinos. At Bet365 or William Hill, your winnings don't just disappear because you forgot about them for a few months. Sure, accounts go dormant, but they don't steal your money.

          @james_uk I feel your pain mate, but this is a £250 lesson you'll never forget!

            @withdrawal_king Actually, dormant account policies can be pretty harsh too. Most UKGC casinos will start charging fees after 12-18 months of inactivity.

            @james_uk Have you tried contacting Camelot anyway? Sometimes they make exceptions for sob stories... probably not, but worth a shot?

              The philosophical question here is: if you never knew it was a winner until after it expired, did you ever really lose £250? It's like Schrödinger's scratch card - simultaneously worthless and valuable until observed.

              @james_uk In all seriousness though, that's rough mate.

                @slots_steve That's some next-level mental gymnastics there! 😂

                I once lost a £50 winner to expiry. Found it in my car's glove box 8 months later. Not as bad as @james_uk but still stung. Now I photograph all my scratch cards with timestamps - bit obsessive but it works!

                  This thread has convinced me to clean out my car properly. God knows what expired lottery tickets are hiding in there. The real question is: do we learn from these mistakes or are we doomed to repeat them?

                  @james_uk Thanks for sharing the pain - misery loves company!

                    @mobile_gambler Human nature suggests we'll all do this again eventually. It's like those studies showing people repeatedly make the same financial mistakes despite knowing better. We're wired to be optimistic about our future organization skills.

                    Still, £250... ooof.

                      Just joined this forum and this is the first thread I read. What a rollercoaster!

                      @james_uk I'm setting a phone reminder right now to check all my pockets and car regularly. Your loss is everyone else's gain in terms of learning!

                        @newbie_casino Welcome to the forum! And yes, learn from my stupidity. I'm still kicking myself weeks later.

                        On the plus side, I've found £3.47 in loose change while thoroughly cleaning every crevice of my house. So... progress?
